The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower
(Psalms 18:2)
Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, which has ravaged communities across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and other affected regions. The sheer magnitude of loss—of homes, livelihoods, and even lives—leaves us in deep sorrow and solidarity with all who are suffering. In these moments of uncertainty and pain, we encourage those who have been displaced, those grieving, and the courageous first responders who are risking everything to save others.
As we begin to rebuild, may we hold onto the resilience of the human spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the compassion that binds us together. May God's strength sustain every hand extended in help, and may His peace bring comfort to the hearts of the broken. In the midst of this storm, we know that hope will rise again, just as surely as the dawn follows the darkest night.
Please take a moment to provide prayers and support for all those who are in need of comfort, resources, shelter, and any other necessities. Let us be reminded to continue to speak messages of hope, for we know that we serve a Mighty God, and he will provide all of our needs.
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace
(Psalms 29:11)
